Jonathan Turnbull DS Dundee 1989

Jonathan qualified from Dundee University in 1989 and has spent the last 30 years working in general practice and gaining significant experience in all treatments .His experience dictates his very conservative clinical approach . He took over the practice in 2004.
Jonathan has spent a number of years within this practice and also his previous practice working as a trainer of new dental graduates but now concentrates his practice time solely to his own patients. He carries out a full range of routine general dental dental procedures at Howard Place and continues to develop those skills by undertaking further clinical training in all fields. He undertook implant training in 2003 and has worked with Alisa Morrison in the practice since 2010 to provide implant solutions for patients who have lost teeth in many different situations. He completed the MJDF qualification by examination in 2009.
Jonathan became a Dental Practice Advisor for NHS Lothian in 2009 and continues in this post to this day. He visits and advises other dental practices on current guidelines and recommendations, and helps NHS Lothian Health Board to develop better links and services with the local population. He also supports and advises other dentists who are having difficulty with their clinical work or running their practices and carries out practice inspections.
Ailsa Morrison

Ailsa is our visiting Oral Surgery Specialist and is a consultant in the Oral Surgery Department at Edinburgh Dental Institute. Ailsa qualified in dentistry from the University of Dundee in 2000. Ailsa carries out surgical treatments in the practice such as implant placement and wisdom teeth extractions.
Linda Forsyth

Hygienist
Linda qualified from The Defence Dental Services School in 1999 and has since worked worldwide in dental practices and has come back to roost in Edinburgh. She is extremely gentle in her approach and patients can relax knowing they will have a thorough treatment without discomfort. Her treatments involve general dental hygiene and advance periodontal procedures. Her encouragement and enthusiasm ensure patients are well educated and motivated in caring for their dental health.
Angela Cairns

Angie has been a Dental Nurse in the practice for over 30 years . She enjoys working with so many people that she has come to know well over the years. Her laid back cheerful attitude contributes well to the relaxing atmosphere at Howard Place.
Kirsty Kildare

Kirsty is our newest Dental Nurse. She qualified as a registered dental surgery nurse by being mentored within the practice through Edinburgh College's SVQ qualification. She has remained with the practice since and she is diligent and knowledgeable and enjoys getting to know her patients.
Carolynn Veitch

Carolynn has been a Dental Nurse for over 40 years. She joined the practice moving along with Jonathan Turnbull when he took over the practice. She has a great way with patients and is absolutely committed to the job she loves.
